Theerapong, a contemporary Thai artist, finds inspiration in the agitated atmosphere of Bangkok, where he has spent nearly two decades. His art reflects modern Thainess, departing from traditional Thai styles. Despite the busy urban society, Theerapong sees beauty in every moment and place, especially in the female figures that symbolize the city’s atmosphere, lights, and colors. His love for portrait painting was influenced by John Singer Sargent, a renowned expatriate artist. Having studied at Silpakorn University, Theerapong holds both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Fine Arts. Now based in Nakhon Pathom, he continues to capture the aesthetics of daily life through impressionism artwork, conveying the story of light and colors through visible brush strokes.
