Narongchai Pratummat is an artist from Roi Et. His paintings are based strongly on happiness – the feeling he gets from making his art and the main emotion he intends to convey. Coming from a rural area, he sees beauty in nature and the small aspects in life that are crafted by natural forces, thus having this as his main source of energy. Constantly creating off of passion and pure happiness is what makes his artwork a success to him.

Description

Get to know the Artist

Narongchai Pratummat has enjoyed drawing and painting ever since he can remember and has incorporated the hobby into his daily routine. As he frequently participated in drawing competitions and practiced techniques consistently, his skill comes by nature. After finishing his secondary education where he directed his focus to other fields, he came to a realisation that art is something he wants as part of his life – which lead to the decision to study arts in university. “Ultimately, I discovered that art is, for sure a part of me and is my path to happiness,” He states. His artist career rocketed after being invited by Ajarn Pornchai to present his work at the Chiang Mai Art Musuem. Since then, he has been creating pieces regularly for 10 years.
