“Human beings always suffer from their own emotions; greed, anger, wanting and clinging to things. When everything is not as they want, the endless suffering has occur.

In my work I left all the factors that cause suffering. They will maintain only the feeling of quietness and emptiness which will give the relaxing sensation throughout my painting.

I chose to draw natural scenery as i want the audience to reconsider about “The meaning of life”. Composing with trees, grasses, rivers, earth, reflects that all things arise, exist and die as it is the principle and the truth of this world” – Kanchai Sangphet

By neatly applying small brush stroke into the pattern of natural shapes and ambiance, Sangphet is perfectly captured the moment of the sunset sky with the beautiful scenario of the golden field which will give you the warm and pleasant impression!

What is your inspiration making art?

“Back to when I was a kid, at that time, I normally draw but I didn’t feel like to do it much. However, until i went to high school, i study in the science-mathematic program in order to study in a good university and have a good life after graduating studying life.

Nevertheless, I actually don’t feel like i’m really into it and I am not happy with it at all! So I decided to go to a special art class for a few months. It made me realized that it was much happier than anything i used to studied.

After that, i went to study in Fine Arts Program at King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang for my Bachelor’s. I started to understand art in a certain level and would love to continue my career path in this way”- Kanchai Sangphet

When did you seriously start making art?

“I started making seriously the artwork, since i was during the second year. I was suffering a lot from thinking about the concept of making one of each artwork and couldn’t figure out what to do. I tried to study many stories and find many inspirations from many things . But then it made me realized that the more i tried, the more i find nothing. I began to embrace my suffering and saw it in another point of view. This is when i started to study Dhamma and understand myself in a deeper level and understand the truth of life which became my inspiration of making my artworks seriously” – Kanchai Sangphet

What do you see yourself in the future?

“For now my only plans is to continue being an independent artist and continue to develop my skill and keep painting the landscape concept of nature. In the future, if there is a good opportunity in the art industry that match with my path, i would consider to catch that chance. However, I currently like to focus on ‘Now’ first”
